Vitale Barberis Cononico (VBC)

Established in 1663, Vitale Barberis Canonico (VBC) is the world’s oldest fabric mill still in continuous operation. For over 350 years and 13 generations, the Barberis Canonico family has produced some of the most refined and elegant suiting cloths available, from their historic mill in Pratrivero, nestled in Italy’s Piedmont region.

Known for its classic Italian styling with a modern twist, VBC supplies many of the world’s most prestigious brands, including Ermenegildo Zegna, and was even selected by Ferrari for its bespoke “Tailor-Made” project. The mill’s timeless fabrics, including wool, mohair, and blended suiting cloths, are prized for their soft drape, impeccable finish, and enduring quality.

Today, Vitale Barberis Canonico continues to innovate while honouring centuries-old traditions. With collections that range from lightweight tropicals to rich flannels, their fabrics form the foundation of luxury tailoring across the globe, now available at Knightsman for those who appreciate timeless menswear with Italian soul.
